BREAKING: Saunders Named Rovers Boss

Dean Saunders has been announced as the immediate long-term replacement for Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll, who was relieved of his duties this morning.

Saunders has left his post at Wrexham to take charge at Doncaster Rovers, who lie rooted to the bottom of The Championship with just one point from their opening league games this season.

His playing career involved spells with Sheffield United, Nottingham Forest and Bradford City, although he is mostly known for his three year spell with Aston Villa, where he notched 37 goals in 112 appearances.
